Who are we?


A service of Atmo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Atmo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is the observatory approved by the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition for monitoring and information on air quality in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.

Atmo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes places its action within the framework of the general interest and the public service mission defined by article L.221-3 of the Environment Code by which the State entrusts the monitoring of air quality to an approved regional body. It also complies with the approval conditions of Article L.221-3 of the Environmental Code and the obligations attached thereto.

 

A citizen's vision of the air quality observatory

The observatory has been engaged for several years in the modernization of its approach to environmental observation with a strategy for the future: "Increase" the observation of air quality beyond expert knowledge through the participation of all actors in society: citizens, institutions, businesses and territories.
